Raising walls

Brick by brick we built the wall
Raising it high so that it’s un scalable
Our fears make us keep others at an arm’s length
Barriers visible and invisible erected
We are lonely on our side of the wall
A prisoner of our own fears

Men build too many walls and not enough bridges.”
~Joseph Fort Newton.

This weekend, Sue W and GC have given us the word WALLS as WeeklyPrompts.

  1. Walls can be beautiful like those of libraries and schools that house those willing to teach and learn.
It is the great wall of fear that keeps some from achieving all they could have been.
A great reminder that fear itself is a wall.
