January 24th, 2022 – Unbelievable

Recently I read somewhere that saying something is unbelievable donates a lack of imagination on our part!

But some things are so outrageous that we simply cannot believe that it is actually happening. Take, for instance, the erroneous belief of some people that;

a) Covid is a hoax

b) Vaccination against Covid are dangerous and can kill people

c) They don’t need to take precautions against Covid, like wearing a mask, keeping their distance, or getting vaccinated

If these were poor, uneducated people of a third-world country, like mine, this can be put down to ignorance. But poor people of my country are getting vaccinated, (mostly) wearing masks, and are following government guidelines to stay safe.

It’s the privileged people of developed countries ( some, not all) who in their arrogance and not ignorance are taking this stance. If I say that it is unbelievable that people can be so stupid to reject reality in favor of unplausible theories, I wouldn’t be off the mark!

  1. spot on Sadje! I knew a couple that were very active in promoting the lies about covid, refused to get vaccinated, didn’t want their kids vaxxed. They died last month, two of their three children are sick and hospitalized and the last child is in quarentine in a children’s home. It all could have been prevented.

  2. I don’t believe it’s a hoax. I don’t believe vaccines should be mandated…I was forced to get it, or depend on others to shop for me. I wear the masks in public because it’s mandated, but I detest them–they fog up my glasses and make it harder to breathe. I live alone and am mostly a recluse–but I have to go out to get groceries.

    I’m tired of everything Covid–and I think the constant news stories just raise the fear-factor…the info changes weekly. The thing about it that makes me most crazy is the randomness–I know people who’ve gotten sick, even with the vaccines and safety precautions. I’ve also known people who’ve gotten Covid repeatedly!–even after vaccines, etc. So there’s no guarantee, nor rhyme, reason.

    Fortunately, I have a strong faith that God keeps a close eye on me, with love and protection–so I’ve had No Fear of Covid since Day 1 🙂 Hope I didn’t offend with my little rant here 🙂
