I light a candle
With hope and love
A flame to throw light
To illuminate the darkness
I set my candle afloat
On the river of ever-flowing time
It’s my message to anyone who finds it
Never be defeated by the darkness
Take courage from the tiny flame
For today and all the tomorrows
Remember to turn towards the light
As it is what will defeat the darkness
