Holding her hand in mine I gave her a promise
A promise to always be there for her
A promise to protect her from dangers known and unknown
To be the her person no matter what the circumstances
As she grew up, I grew old and I could feel
That perhaps I won’t be able to keep my promise for long
Maybe time would not allow me to be there for her, forever
I needed to take her hand and make another promise
I told her that I promised to watch over here even when
I was no longer a part of her life in this world
I vowed to be her guardian Angel from above
Because even when I’m gone, she still would be my little girl

This was lovely Sadje, although a bit sad.

Thanks Patricia. Even if parents are there in that sense, I think their prayers are.

Thanks a lot Sam. It’s what many parents think when they think of departing and leaving their kids behind.
