Why do I feel jubilant?
Normally end of year brings a feeling of anticipation because we are hopeful about the coming year. But if nothing else, these last two years have taught us to be careful in our hopes. We expect things to be better and the threat of this disease over but as facts have shown us that this wasn’t the case.
As this year is coming to an end, I still feel an unjustified sense of elation.
Why?
For one thing, it is a part of my nature to hope for good things to happen. And another factor is that every dark night must come to an end and perhaps the dawn of a new year is that time.
It is time
To put on those rose-tinted glasses
To fix a smile on your face
And let the candle of hope flicker again
It is time
To feel jubilant again
To give up those bleak thoughts
And perhaps our combined feelings
Would turn the dark night into bright day!

It is time! Although, I wonder if it will be harder this year to be optimistic.

Thanks VJ! Without hope for tomorrow, or new year what do we have to look forward to.

A lot of people are dead because of the virus, but man has become smarter, and we learned a lot from the pandemic, so it is OK for you to be elated.

Thanks Jim. I was reading a quote about this situation and it went something like this; there’s a lot of sorrow in the world but we still can choose to live in joy!
