Melting slowly

His hot gaze had that effect on me

Slowly I was melting, turning into a mush

My defenses crumbled and one by one the barriers fell

The steel that I had put in my heart

Proved an inadequate defense against that assault

I surrender gracefully before I could be conquered

(Respond to this challenge, by either by using the prompt word melt, or going with the above picture, or by means of the song β€˜I’ll Melt With You)

      1. Hello. The guardedness is, unfortunately, usually caused by falling in love with the wrong people previously. Although, I simply meant with everything. This feeling should happen more often; whether with those we already love, or the land around us, this feeling should be more a part of our lives as a whole. It is a beautiful feeling and it is beautifully expressed here.

I am doing well, thank you for asking. How about you?

  1. I remember ‘melting’ for a guy in Junior High School… funny though as he didn’t know I existed πŸ’”
Better we should have just a bit of experience before a life long commitment, perhaps πŸ˜‰
