We all are standing at the edge of the precipice
Staring at the storm that is sure to lay waste to everything
Yet we stand here helplessly, caught in the moment
Just like a victim cannot break eye contact with a predator
Blight and famine
Hunger and destruction
Floods and deluge
All are waiting to wreak havoc on the human race
Under the umbrella that is given the name; Climate change

Thanks a lot Carol. It certainly is and yet most governments are oblivious to it.

Good poem, but, sadly, it is happening for real, and not just imagined.

It really is, and most people are oblivious to this danger. Thanks

Your poem is frighteningly real… if only governments would wake up and do something about it. Our part are so small compared with what government and big corporations can do. But I still do my part to reduce, reuse and recycle.

Thanks Leigha. Most sensible people are doing what they can to reduce their carbon footprint. But those who can make a difference, they aren’t much bothered.
