I am writing to express my opinion, share my experiences and to maybe provide some insight. My blog is addressing women at 50 ( but men are welcome to read my posts) ,their issues and the questions that come up at this stage in life. I donโt aim to teach, but to learn together.

Yes, I have a tendency to laugh when embarrassed. Getting better as I grow older, keep my focus on serious matters.
Yes, I was in trouble at school (for giggling in class) and me and my friend were sent to the deputy head. She was telling me off and I couldn’t stop laughing. Only because my friend had smiled at me when she left the room for being told off. One hundred lines later . . .I will not laugh at the teacher.
This has happened a lot manu times during my school days. We used to bend our heads down on the desk and have good laugh. But to get back up, we had to be calm, and that was real difficult. ๐

Yes! But it’s also why I don’t get mad at people who laugh at inappropriate moments…

Yes! My thoughts are very active, and I might be thinking about something funny and then burst out laughing when no one has even said anything!

I think itโs called monkey brain when it jumps for idea to idea, making others bewildered when we say something totally irrelevant.

I think weโve all been there. I couldnโt stop laughing when I was let go from a job I hated. Management werenโt impressed ๐

Being a parent of brilliantly funny kids sent me off to the restroom to laugh it off before the stern talk they needed.
