“The ache for home lives in all of us, it’s the safe place where we can go as we are and not be questioned.” ~ Maya Angelou.
Weekly Prompts Weekend Challenge – HOME from SueW and GC.
This week, partner GC and I ask questions about your home.
Interpret the word HOME in any way you wish, and as always, the challenge is flexible – Words, Pictures, Poetry or Rhyme.
My regular readers know that we moved homes recently. Moving to another city and making a house into a home takes a bit of time.
Luckily, Islamabad and I aren’t strangers. I spent my schooling years here and then again when my kids were in school. It’s the capital of Pakistan and my husband being in government service, it was inevitable that we live here during some part of our life.
After the bustling city of Lahore, Islamabad seems a bit tame but home is where the heart is and we are now comfortable here, head and heart.
We had an interesting visitor when we were here a few days. He/she would come in the morning looking for food. There are hills near the city and in winters, they come looking for food. It was very elusive, but I managed to take a few pictures.
Here’s to hoping that we stay here a while, and enjoy our new home.
