Devereaux Frazier and Beth Amanda are currently hosting the Tuesday Writing Prompt Challenge.
Today’s prompt: Use the phrase or theme “shadows of our past” in any form of writing
➰➰➰
Don’t spend all your days in the shadows of the past
What happened then, let it remain in the past
Don’t carry the burden of regrets and unfulfilled desires
And let it ruin your all your todays and tomorrows
A clear sight and clear thinking is what we need
To see that there is never an option of going back
What is done is done and the next step to think about
Is how we will use today, the gift that is given to us
In a way that we are proud of what we achieve
➰➰➰

Good advice, Sadje. George Harrison wrote Beware of Darkness, one of my favorite songs of his.

Thanks for the comforting words Sadje. And thanks for the prompts. Actually I keep waiting for your prompts. Especially when I am kind of washed out and don’t know what to write. They inspire me to write something.

Many thanks my friend. I do need to point out that this is not my prompt but from “ Go dog go cafe”.

Wholeheartedly agreed, Sadje. Being present to what we do have, and what we want to create now, is most important. Lovely, my friend.

Excellent! Today is indeed a gift. We need to remember we have only the present day to live, not yesterday or tomorrow.

Thanks a lot Punam. I’ve seen people wasting good years of their life, hankering over what should have been or would have been. It seems such a senseless waste to me.
