The olde world charm of this quaint little town
Soothes the spirit and calms the wandering mind
Strolling down the main street he marvels
How the time has stood still for this beautiful town
Modern gadgets and technology have eluded this place
It felt as if the stress of modern day living
Seeps away and leaves him relaxed and at peace

Lovely. ‘How the time has stood still for this beautiful town’.
Sadly all the places known to me as a child are changed completely. Well, we have to welcome progress but still, the heart logs for this peaceful place.

Thanks a lot Indira. Yes, many places have changed irrevocably in the name of progress.

I’ve been lucky enough to be in a couple of different small towns in Italy. So different from large cities full of tall steel and glass buildings. Certainly a different way of living. But I suspect someone has some electronic gizmos around 😉

Yes, I suspect that too. But it looks like it’s frozen in time. Thanks Jules.
