PROMPT #201
Just a sentence. I won’t say anything more.
A stranger in a very strange land..
There is no restriction on length or format of the piece. There is no last date either, unless you wish to be featured in the Weekly Wrap.
➰➰➰
I am A stranger in a very strange land
Lost without a map to guide
There are no signposts no markers
I have to go the wrong way many a times
To find where I really want to go
Making several mistakes before I discover
The right way to do what I want to do
Life is a strange land and I am a stranger
Only by living it that I learn how to
And by that time I am nearing the end
Of this journey, still discovering, still learning

Sadje you describe the journey so well. The last few years the stumbling has been felt even more acutely.

Thanks a lot Li. But if we won’t stumble, how will we correct ourselves?

Still discovering, still learning…
So true, yet it feels the quest should end somewhere.

Thanks Reena! It ends with life itself, I think.

A wonderful poem. “Only by living it that I learn how to and by that time I am nearing the end”- This line, for reasons unknown, reminds me of a quote “Life’s biggest tragedy is that we become old too soon and wise too late.”
You said it so well in a way that speaks to all of us 😊👌

Thank you so much Sam. Yes a very wise quote about life. As they say, youth is wasted on the young! Another gem of a quote
