Stream Of Consciousnesses Saturday – Where?

Linda is the host of Stream Of Consciousnesses Saturday

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is β€œwhere.”Use it any way you’d like!

Now, where did I put it? I look for it everywhere and come up empty. In my room, in my handbag ( as I just had come from the grocery store) and in the family lounge but it was nowhere to be found!

At that moment my husband walked in and looked at me, β€œWhat are you doing? β€œHe said.

β€œI cannot find my phone”, I told him. He started laughing. β€œWhat are you holding in your left hand” , he said. I looked at my left hand and I was holding on to my phone tightly. Lest I should misplaced it!

I was a bit embarrassed but I sure had a comeback, β€œyou are not above doing the same yourself”, I told him. β€œMany times I’ve located your stuff for you, which was lying in front of your eyes”!

Lost keys, misplace glasses and other personal items all are getting β€œlost” on a regular basis, daily! These comical scenarios are a part of growing old. They provide us with an opportunity to embarrass each other and get a good laugh at ourselves and each other.

  1. I get anal about this. Something has to be in a certain place, otherwise I do not have a clue. So I have trained myself only to put things down in the “correct” place.

I also used those little Bluetooth tracking counterts, pre COVID, but as I leave the house less, they seem less important. I can use the counter on my computer ##########9which is fixed#0 to tell me where my phone is. See? Anal!

  2. “Oh No! I’ve got to go back into Walmart. I think I left my phone there!” I had searched the car and my purse in vain, to no avail. Damn. I’d spent more for that iPhone 11 Pro Max than for my Apple computer.
“Judy, you are talking to me on your phone,” my friend informed me. (Yes, been there done that, Sadje.)

  3. Ha! We all do it. I was walking with a friend of mine the other day, and she said β€œhmmm, where’s my mask?” It was already on her face. πŸ˜„ I’ve done that exact thing too. Great post, Sadje.
