Tale Weaver 26.08.21 – It’s Not About Falling…

Stephanie Colpron is the host of Tale Weaver

So to our Tale Weaver Theme; It’s not how you fall it’s how you get back up…

This week I invite you to share a tale of resilience, of falling and getting back up to see the story through; it might be a grand quest or a project at work or at home… Yours to decide.

The challenges life throws at us often unbalance us and we are close to giving up and throwing in the towel. But being a quitter is not the way to overcome hurdles.

Don’t lose heart when the chips don’t fall your way

When Lady Luck seems offended at you, ignores you

*It’s the fighter who falls in the battle

*Not the bystander who never ventured in the fray

Get back up after every fall for you are no quitter

The biggest loser is the one who never tried

(I have paraphrased a couplet from famous Urdu poet, Alama Iqbal; Girte hein shahsawar hi maidan-e-jung me
Wo tifl kea gere jo ghutno ke bal chale”
It means that only the fighters fall from their horse in a battle, not an infant who walks on his knees!)

  1. Such great wisdom! I appreciate you sharing the Urdu quotes. Yes victory comes to those who stand and fight (or fight from their horses) I am reminded of a famous quote:
“Better to die on one’s feet than to live on one’s knees”
Great inspirational share and wisdom as well Sadje. Thank you.
