QUESTIONS

Can you parallel park (if you drive)? If you don’t drive, can you still skip?

I can park, provided that there is ample space on both sides. Since I drive very infrequently and the traffic here is chaotic anyway, it really doesn’t matter much how we park. As for skipping, I’m advised not to do so with my artificial joints and my weight. 😛

Do you prefer early morning or late evening? Or something in between?

I love to get up early in the morning, when everyone else is asleep. But my health app doesn’t like it if I have less than 7 hours of sleep. So after my morning prayers, I go back to sleep for a couple of hours. Late night doesn’t work for me at all because if I’m awake till midnight, the chances of me going to sleep naturally are very slim. I need to take a sleep aid if I’m up late.

Do you like avocados?

Love them. Specially with feta, and salsa on top of a toasted English muffin. I love it in salads too. Unfortunately, over here it’s way too expensive and not that good quality. 😔

Is mind or matter more real?

Mind is as real as any other part of the body. It is with our mind that we perceive the world around us and experience it’s different nuances. As for the matter, everything things is made up of matter. So both are real, to my way of thinking.

Are people in this current generation less or more sensitive than people from past generations?

People of the current generation are less sensitive to how others feel. They are more sensitive to how they feel. If anything irritates them, they will raise a storm but if their actions irritate others, they would hardly notice.

GRATITUDE SECTION (as always optional)Please feel free to share something inspiring that’s happened to you recently!

Schools have reopened. It’s only 2 days a week in person, but that is better than no school. Now my grandson has something else to do besides playing games or watching YouTube. And on those two days I can make plans to attend to my chores and shopping.

Thank you Melanie for always giving us interesting questions for Share Your World.

  1. Thank you so much Sadje for Sharing Your World! What a beautiful tree and the flowers? So bright and cheerful, what a blessing to see that! Thanks for sharing your photo with everyone! 😀 We get quite a few avocados here, but they have to be shipped in. Due to the odd weather we’ve had in the U.S. too, the crops of avocados, oranges, lemons and limes are far more substandard than ever before to my knowledge. Yesterday at the store they didn’t even have any normal carrots (in a bag) for sale, one had to buy the organic kind which were all shades of the rainbow. I’d never seen such odd looking carrots in my born days. O_o The world is different for sure! I liked your answer to the sensitive question, that’s what I tend to think too! I’m glad your grandchild can get back to school, even if it’s for a shorter time than before. He’s getting some exposure to learning and being around others and I think that’s very important. Over here they’re still arguing about if school will open and how much and blah blah. They’ve found most of the students are far behind because of last year and the lack of adequate home schooling by parents (they were supposed to telecommute to their classroom and do their lessons virtually, but an attentive and watchful parent was key) Most just let the kid do the work or goof off and it shows now.) I hope you have a great week! 🙂

    1. Thank you so much Melanie for sharing your thoughts. Yes school is very important at the primary and secondary level. My grandson’s school are quite strict with mask wearing and maintaining distance. Kids need social interaction as well as hands on learning. You’re hope things start to get better all over the world, covid wise.

  2. You said about younger gens what I was thinking — that they aren’t really sensitive. They are just easily hurt, but they don’t noticeably care about anyone else. These are the people who push old people over in supermarkets because they are too slow. Charming.

    1. I know, it is becoming increasingly apparent that the younger people have a severe deficit of courtesy, manners and sensitivity. It is obviously the fault of us who failed to impact these values
