Fandango is the host of Fandango Story Starter
It’s time for my weekly Story Starter prompt. Here’s how it works. Every Tuesday morning (my time), I’m going to give you an incomplete “teaser” sentence and your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to build a story (prose or poetry) around that partial sentence. It doesn’t have to be the first sentence in your story, and you don’t even have to use it in your post at all if you don’t want to. The purpose of the teaser is simply to spark your imagination and to get your storytelling juices flowing
This week’s Story Starter teaser is:
There was only one way to keep her quiet, and it was…
There was only one way to keep her quiet, and it was to give in to her demands. Nancy knew that it will spoil her but she was desperate.
John however was made of sterner stuff. “No Nancy, you can’t give in to all her demands. That will make things so much difficult for us in the future!”
“But what should I do when she demands more? I cannot cope with her consistent mewing and she even scratched my hand in the morning”
“Raising a pet is just like raising a child. You have to do what is right for her. The vet said not to feed her more than three times a day and that’s what you should do” John said, trying to calm down Nancy.
Meanwhile, Flora came and sat looking at both her humans with an expectant look. She was such a cute-looking cat and knew how to use her charm. Soon John was opening a can of cat food for her.
