Stream Of Consciousnesses Saturday – Our Naughty Kitty

Linda is the host of Stream Of Consciousnesses Saturday

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “the last photo you took.” Take the last photo you snapped. What’s the first word that comes to mind when you look at it? That word is your prompt. Enjoy!

This is the picture I took yesterday!

And looking at him, I think of not one but two words, innocent and naughty

Our Kitty has been with us for two months now. He has grown almost twice in size. He still bites us when ever an ankle or toe is found in his proximity. These are not the only naughty things he does.

Today he sneaked out when the main door was opened. I found him trying to play with a poor worm going about his business. It took three people, 15 minutes to bring him back, indoors.

Afterwards, he was all innocently looking at me, as if asking what did I do wrong? I am an outdoor cat so I should be allowed to explore the great outdoors. I told him that I cannot let him out by himself as he can get lost or even injured.

Anyway, this is him trying out the discarded packaging box for size!

  1. Ah cats, so adorable but with such sharp teeth. My parents have been feeding a family of strays and now one of the kittens is trying to become a house cat. My mother is not overly fond of cats. She won’t allow them to go hungry or thirsty, but she doesn’t want it inside..

      1. I have one indoor cat and a yard full of not quite strays. I have told my son that once his cat crossed the bridge, I’ll not have another indoor. While watching the kittens outside is fun, I don’t plan on adopting any of them

          1. It is. We’ve lost our share. We had two other cats that lived nice long lives and they are missed. One was the father to Cricket, the cat we have now. Gypsy was part of a feral litter, she did calm down and take to house living though she was never all that snuggly. But then, she was royalty and true royalty doesn’t snuggle…much.

  2. Suggestion: get yourself a laser pointer at an office supply store (some pet stores even have them). When kitty gets out, start shining the red dot in front of him. He’ll chase the dot, and you can run him back into the house with it. Worked like a charm for us with one of our frequent escapees…
