Truthful Tuesday- Odd pleasures

Frank of PC guyIV asks a question on Tuesday, which we have to answer truthfully.

Truthful Tuesday

The Question

What’s something that you thoroughly enjoy doing that others might find a bit odd? What makes it so enjoyable?

➰➰➰

I thoroughly enjoy blogging which my family and real-life friends find odd. They are always asking why I’m always stuck to my phone, using the tiny touchpad to type out my blog posts. There are some people who even ask “what is a blog?”

Though there are over 600 million blogs in the world today, not everyone has heard of blogging, let alone read a single post!

At the same time, I am very grateful to my blogging family who not only read my posts but also like and comment on them.

Thanks you so much!

      1. I found it so surprising, it has taken me a couple of years to get used to it. Then, yesterday a woman I’ve known for 6 years suddenly said she liked my blog when I saw her at the supermarket. I was stunned because I didn’t know she’d read it! Could be that a few stealth readers are out there. : )

        1. When I started my blog, I shared the link with everyone, my family, old school friends, my med school friends. Just a few bothered reading and a couple of comments. So I do know now that they aren’t interested.

          1. Sorry, that’s rough. That’s my general experience too. But then there are nice bloggers like you, being friendly over the zeros and ones of the internet. I choose this intellectual, creative, expressive mode of communication and I’m glad for the friendships we are developing.

  1. This is so funny/odd and so true. We get to know all kinds of people from everywhere from our blogs, But, our actual families and friends mostly don’t know or read anything we write about. All of mine know I blog, but only occasionally do they look at it. 🙂

  2. I to get the same thing from family and friends (only a couple read my blog occasionally). However it’s okay I enjoy it and appreciate the blogging community (friendships from around the world, how wonderful is that) all the creative minds out there. I

  3. Bingo. Lots of people in my circle don’t understand how I can put my personal life out there. Like you said, there are 600 million blogs out there…mine is certainly invisible to all except the 62 people who follow me. And these 62 follow me for a reason, for empathy perhaps, and certainly not to derive vicarious pleasure from my joys and miseries.

    1. I find it very convenient. I have often been told that It’s better to do B it from a pc or laptop but I find this easier. Our community is the best thing about blogging.
