What do you think?

I do agree with this saying as far as just writing is concerned. However, good writing requires something more!

I think a good writer needs to have a vivid imagination, a talent for cohesive plot plan and an ability to write clearly.

These are neither simple nor common gifts. That’s why we all can write but few have that special spark that makes them a acclaimed writer.

We all can, however improve our writing by learning the proper art of writing, improving our grammar and writing as much as we can. The more we write, the better it gets. As they say, a genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration! So we all can get better with applying ourselves to writing.

These are my thoughts in writing. What are yours?

  1. Often, coming up with a story is the easy bit. Conveying it to your readers is when it gets tricky. So often I read folk’s blog-tales and have no idea what they’re on about! I then read the comments in the hope that someone understood it and gives me a clue! For me, don’t try to be clever, just keep it simple.

I hope you understood my comment!!!

  2. I think she’s nailed it … we can all write but we know when we’ve read something special/powerful, that resonates deeply with us. And that author may not do that everytime but we read them again waiting for that next lightning bolt!

  3. This reminds me of the saying “writers are made they are not born; writers are born they are not made”.
..either way, it doesnt matter what matters most is that someone, will somehow be able to relate to and connect to our pieces….

  4. A good point Sadje but sometimes the most successful books aren’t well written. Sometimes the subject matter achieves the success and I find that a little disappointing
