Here’s to wishing all my Muslim readers, a happy Eid.
Eid-ul-Adha is celebrated on the next day of Haj. It’s a grand occasion for Muslims as it celebratesthe brotherhood. It also honours the willingness of prophet Abraham to sacrifice his son Ishmael as an act of obedience to God’s command.
I am writing to express my opinion, share my experiences and to maybe provide some insight. My blog is addressing women at 50 ( but men are welcome to read my posts) ,their issues and the questions that come up at this stage in life. I don’t aim to teach, but to learn together.

May this special day bring peace and prosperity. May your life be filled with happiness, your heart with love, your mind with wisdom. Happy Eid, Sadje!
I hope you enjoy your holiday Sadje ☺️💕🌺 Interestingly this was a Jeapordy clue last night on the show. Who was the son of Abraham that he sacrificed for God? The answer was Ishmael, Not sure if you watch it.
I’d love to share it with you Li.
We start the day by going to the mosque to offer eid prayers. Then people who can afford, sacrifice a goat or a cow to honor the sacrifice of prophet Abraham. The meat is distributed among the poor, relatives and family. The rest of the day is spent meeting family and friends.
May all celebrate with joy the blessings that diversity can gift us with. May we learn of and from each other so we can all join in peace for all humankind.
Wishing you and yours much happiness.
Abraham was the father of all religions.
