Today is Eid-ul-Adha

Here’s to wishing all my Muslim readers, a happy Eid.

Eid-ul-Adha is celebrated on the next day of Haj. It’s a grand occasion for Muslims as it celebrates the brotherhood. It also honours the willingness of prophet Abraham to sacrifice his son Ishmael as an act of obedience to God’s command.

        1. I’d love to share it with you Li.
We start the day by going to the mosque to offer eid prayers. Then people who can afford, sacrifice a goat or a cow to honor the sacrifice of prophet Abraham. The meat is distributed among the poor, relatives and family. The rest of the day is spent meeting family and friends.
