QUESTIONS
Are justice and the law the same thing?
Justice is when the criminals get their just desserts. Law is what oversees this process. Both are not perfect but we can only hope that just laws are made and implemented so that justice is served.
Which kitchen appliance do you use every day?
Stove top, refrigerator, microwave and my electric kettle.
What is one thing you’ll never do again?
Run, sit on the ground, use a treadmill or any thing which requires me to bend my knees beyond 90* angle. I have been prohibited to do these after my bi-lateral knee replacement.
What event escalated very quickly?
Anything where human emotions or stupidity was in the picture. If people had followed the covid sop’s things may have been better. If countries have sane and intelligent leaders, wars would not happen. It’s all about being in control of our emotions and using the brain.
GRATITUDE (As always, optional)
Feel free to share something that made you feel good from the past week!

We are in the third week of July. It is Eid tomorrow and my kids will be coming over for lunch. The weather is nice as monsoons have started. My plants are thriving.

Thank you Melanie for these interesting questions.

Thanks Barbara! It’s not ivy. Over here they call it money plant. I don’t know it’s biological name.

I do too. And some people think that this plant brings good luck. I like it for its beautiful shiny leaves.

Thank you Sadje for Sharing Your World! Your plants are gorgeous and so green! Here everything is slightly yellow due to lack of proper rain. If you can even attempt at bending your knee more than 90 degrees, you have my sincere admiration. My left knee was replaced five years ago now and I still can’t bend it very far without a great deal of pain. Kneeling down? Nope. I’ve been forced to once or twice and it was excruciatingly painful. I think the fact that you get so much walking done is amazing! It’s not my knee (my ‘good’ knee) that hurts so much, but my gait is so weird that my back starts to hurt quickly and I lose my wind very quickly. My bad knee is also not very supportive any more. It’s interesting to hear of various holidays associated with other religions like your Eid. Our Pioneer Day is on Saturday (24th). It’s unique to Utah and the Mormon faith. But I suspect it’s vastly different in execution! Thanks for sharing! Have a great week!

Thanks Melanie. We are having daily rains. It’ll last for a month or so. Everything turns lush green and glows with good health.
As for the knee, I had extensive physiotherapy after both surgeries and that help mobilize my joints. And walking is what’s keeping the knees in good condition.
I find the response very gracious when I post about my culture or religious holidays.
Thanks again for these wonderful questions.

I’m curious why do they say no more treadmill after knee replacement? Good answers Sadje!

I think it’s because the artificial knee is glues/ cemented too the bone and the jarring/bouncing movements while on treadmill can loosen that bond. Thanks
