PROMPT #190
A word prompt for this week.
INSANITY
There is no restriction on length of the piece. There is no last date either, unless you wish to be featured in the Weekly Wrap.
➰➰➰➰➰➰
It amounts to insanity, trying to stay sane in these turbulent times
Humanity has decided to play the game without any rules at all
People believe in crazy theories and their talk, even more bizarre
Who can argue with someone who refuses to admit they are wrong
It amounts to insanity, telling people to be sane
Explain to them what is fact and what is pure conjecture
And they will ridicule you to the moon and back
They are engrossed in what they call alternate realities
Seeing conspiracies in each sympathetic word of advice
It is indeed insanity, expecting people to behave sanely

They superimpose your face on the mirror, and then project their reality on us.

Yes, many true to do that. The ones who have the weakest of arguments, shout the loudest.

This reminds me of the insanity in political content on all media. A logical or intellectual approach is just OUT. You won’t survive the onslaught of insane reactions.

Yes, exactly! Politics is the worst place where insanity should prevail.

There is a lot of insanity in this world. Most are dressed up to look sane.

Reminds me of the Einstein quote: “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results.”
Trying to interact with some people is definitely a bad idea🤪

Indeed, the ones who insist on their definition of the world based on their reality are dangerous. They can drive us insane too.

As long as you have friends, blogmates, and family who don’t buy into the insanity you at least know you’re not alone. Good description of trying to stay sane in insane times.

Wow! Awesome post, Sadje. Loved this line, “Who can argue with someone who refuses to admit they are wrong”. This is very true. It’s a lost cause.
