QUESTIONS

What’s one question you wish more people asked you?

Not rhetorical question but with a genuine desire to know what I think and feel. I think we should ask this question to those we call friends and then listen to their answer. Sometimes with just asking them about it can fix a lot of issues.

Do you like eggs? What’s your favorite way to have them served? (Optional obviously, I know there are egg dislikers in the crowd)..

I’m no egg lover but if cooked just right, I like them scrambled. I think my semi-dislike for eggs stems from the days of following the Atkins diet. I had so many eggs that they lost their appeal for me. But I still won’t say no to creamy, buttery scrambled egg with a warm croissant.

Thoughts on scary movies? (not horror necessarily, but suspense or action/thrillers)

Suspense, if done right is a great watch. But cheesy horror movies are just a no-no for me. Even the ones with humor won’t have me buying a ticket to see them.

Do you believe in Karma?

Yes, I do. I have even seen it in action. The sight is not pretty and one often feels for those under it’s wrath. But it is a moment to learn. Don’t do to others What you don’t want happening to you!

GRATITUDE (as always optional)

At this moment, what you are most grateful for?

Life is good and uneventful these day. And for that I am thankful. Days when nothing bad happens are good days.

Thank you Melanie for always asking such interesting questions.

  1. I pretty much agree with your responses. Except about being asked what I think and feel. If the questions are personal and asked by those I am close to and trust, I am okay with sharing with them. With those who are more acquaintances than friends, I keep my thoughts and feelings to myself. Although, I must admit I can be opinionated.😼

  2. Thanks, Sadje for Sharing Your World! I didn’t ever do the Atkins diet (I was fearful of possible kidney damage from too much emphasis on one food group, and too little on the others). It’s not because I know very much about medicine, but I have picked up a bit of knowledge here and there, and eating a balanced diet for the best health is one easily provable fact. I did do another franchise’s version of dieting though, and they had one day a week dedicated to grapefruit and eggs only. It was easy to get very sick of eggs in that circumstance, so I understand your distaste very well. I loved your first answer. Particularly the bit about ‘listening’. If those kind of questions are asked, to me anyway, I feel they need a verbal response, but also action as in doing something to help if its requested, or finding someone who can help. I think some of us are just wired that way though. Too many blow off those kinds of questions with pat answers and then do nothing. Thank you for sharing and have a wonderful week!

    1. Thank you so much Melanie for your detailed feedback. Atkins is very bad for overall health, and I have lasting side effects from it. But it was wonderful to lose 80 pounds in 4 months. Yet it all came back. Great questions this week. As usual.

Tell me more about your younger years?

When I could eat eggs I loved scramble

I love suspense and police movies

What am I grateful for today? I would have to say for living in Canada. IT’s not because it’s Canada Day. I am very proud to say I am Canadian as I love living in z freedom based country.
