Fandango Provocative Question # Regrets

Fandango is our host of Fandango Provocative Question

FPQ

Welcome once again to Fandango’s Provocative Question..

Lucille Ball, the American actress and comedian, was quoted as saying…

“I’d rather regret the things I’ve done than regret the things I haven’t done.”

For this week’s provocative question I’m going to ask you to think back upon the life you’ve lived so far. And as you do so, consider this week’s question:

What is your biggest regret in life?

♾♾♾

Regret is futile as it only leaves us with a feeling of failure and negativity.

I have made many mistakes in life. And wrong decisions as well. I’ve done things I should not have done. But I don’t regret any of them.

Why?

I have learned from my mistakes, so if I hadn’t made any, I would still be the fool I was when I made them.

The wrong decisions I have made have altered the course of my life and that wouldn’t have happened if I hadn’t made those decisions.

As for the wrong steps that I’ve taken, I have tried to correct them to the best of my ability. I have apologized to those I’ve hurt by my ignorance and I have tried to make amends wherever I could.

And all that is a part of living and growing up. I own up to all my mistakes. And am a better person because of them.

So no regrets, for regrets eat the soul from inside like a corrosive acid and destroy our peace of mind.

  1. Totally agree. I too, have made many mistakes but I don’t regret any of it. Yes, I do think about those mistakes sometimes and think of how I could have done better so that, I’m better than what I was when i committed that mistake. I try my best to take my mistakes as something to learn from. Regretting never helps.

  2. I have had regrets and have come to terms with them. When I could right the wrongs, I did. When I couldn’t, I apologized and moved on. I have learned from my mistakes. When new mistakes happen, and they do, I do what I can to fix them, take the lessons to heart and try not to repeat them, and no regrets

    1. That is exactly how we should live our lives Patricia. Regrets are futile as no one can change the past. Thanks for sharing your thoughts
