Sara is our host for Sunday Writing Prompt
Welcome back to, Sunday Writing Prompt!
Poetic Justice: “An outcome in which vice is punished and virtue rewarded, usually in a manner peculiarly or ironically appropriate retribution for one’s actions.”
The KICKER for this week is, I would prefer anyone who feels inspired by this prompt to write in a poeticfashion. It doesn’t have to rhyme, but there should be a tempo, pace, a personal cadence.

♾♾♾
You did your worst with impunity
Thinking that no one is watching
Oppression and ridicule your weapons
Children, defenseless and innocent your victims
But there is a balance in nature
The bad deeds do catch up with you in the end
The punishment may not be visible for all to see
But you know that what you did is taking it’s toll
You can hide from others but not from yourself
It’s your own guilt that is taking it’s revenge
Poetic Justice served, no need for victims to act

Mind if I ask, how do you link to me using only my name. I haven’t quite figured that out yet

This was supposed to be a reply to Sadje, Sorry, Shweta! But, maybe you also have the answer I seek?

Haha. That’s alright. I was a bit thrown by that question. Are you asking about pingbacks?

But how do you create the blue name? I always add a link to the profile. Any help is appreciated!

It’s easy Sara. Write the name of the person you want to link your post to, highlight it and click on the insert link tab in the bar. Update the post and you have embedded the link in there.

Yep. It’s as simple as that. I have posted two tutorials on how to check pingbacks. If you’re still having issues, do check them out.

That’s very helpful Shweta. When I started blogging, a friend showed me how to do it.

So many people had trouble linking to the 6wsp prompt page. That’s why I created the pingback tutorial. I’m glad that you had help when you first started blogging 😊

Yes, it’s something I’d never done before. But it’s easy once you get the hang of it. Even with the block editor.

Oh yes. Now all we have to do is select the text and copy the link. There’s no need to click the insert link button too.

So great, Sadje!! Nailed the request for poetry. It flowed beautifully. “It’s your own guilt that is taking it’s revenge” was a very impactful line.

I don’t know how people can live with themselves when they exercise oppression, tyranny, and the like. Very nicely penned, Sadje. 🙂

Thanks a lot Carol. I think their consciences is dead otherwise they really would be bothered by their actions.

Guilt is a powerful emotion, and provides at least some justice to those who feel it.
