WritePhoto # Steps

KL Caley is the host of WritePhoto

Welcome to the weekly #writephoto prompt!

This week’s prompt is a post with a difference – our MAY guest photo!

Steps – Image by Jemima Pett

For visually challenged writers, the image shows steps up and over a bridge, with narrow alleyways at each side of the bridge.

Whichever path I follow, leads somewhere
Who knows where I am destined to go
So I just follow the path in front of me
Trusting in my luck and my fate

This narrow lane seems full of promise
It’s mystery accentuated by the old bridge it leads to
Maybe here I will meet the adventure I crave
Or a life altering experience awaits me on the other end

Whichever path I follow, leads somewhere

And with hope I forge ahead

  1. Yes, all paths lead somewhere. And if we don’t like where it seems to be taking us, we can turn around or take another path we find around a bend. Life is full of possibilities.

  2. Lovely poem, Sadje. Justin and I were just talking about this today; that is, life will always show us where the next turn is, as long as we are paying attention. Beautiful, my friend.
