WQWWC # 26 – Hope

Marsha is the host of WQWWC

Welcome to Writer’s Quotes Wednesdays Writer’s Challenge.

The topic for today Writer’s Quotes is Hope.

I feel that I am very lucky to be born an optimist. I am always hopeful that things will get better if they already aren’t.

“Hold fast to dreams,
For if dreams die
Life is a broken-winged bird,
That cannot fly”

Langston Hughes

Hope is that one emotion that stands between utter despair and us. If we didn’t have hope, what would we have? Hope is what makes us get up in the morning with a smile on our faces.

Hope
Smiles from the threshold of the year to come,
Whispering ‘it will be happier’…”

Alfred Lord Tennyson

Hope flutters it’s wings lifting our spirits and letting us dream. Without hope of good things coming our way, we would be in a frozen tundra of hopelessness.

If you’re reading this…
Congratulations, you’re alive.
If that’s not something to smile about,
then I don’t know what is”

Chad Sugg

Being able to open our eyes to a brand new day every morning and realizing that we are alive is the feeling that we should carry through out our day. Mindful gratitude, multiplies the positive vibes and we face life with a smile on our face and a lightness in our soul.

When we love, we always strive to become better than we are. When we strive to become better than we are, everything around us becomes better too”

Paulo Coelho

Love keeps hope alive. Love of life, or family or that someone special, it makes us more positive. It keeps us hopeful and optimistic about tomorrow!

You can cut all the flowers but you cannot keep Spring from coming”

Pablo Neruda

We all know someone who is a pessimist. They are always dreading the worst to happen. But good things do happen to them and despite what they may think, life goes on.

Always remember;

In three words I can sum up everything I’ve learned about life: it goes on.” – Robert Frost

Thanks Marsha for another inspiring topic.

  1. Hi Sadje, I love this quote, “We all know someone who is a pessimist. They are always dreading the worst to happen. But good things do happen to them and despite what they may think, life goes on.” I want to put that on a business card and hand it to anyone who is negative and complaining! LOL Thank you for always using the logo. I forget it about half the time. 🙂 And “Life goes on,” according to Robert Frost. Great post, Sadje. 🙂

    1. Thank you so much Marsha! I know that I irritate many people with my optimistic outlook, but I do truly believe that when bad things happen, good things also happen. It’s a pleasure to participate in your prompts. Thanks again

              1. The other time cheerful bothers me, and that’s not often is when it comes with some glib advice to a problem that I’m having. “You know, all you have to do is xyz and your problems will be all solved.” Last night we were playing pickle ball. My husband said cheerfully when I missed another ball, “Just hit the ball with the center of the paddle.” Well duh! I thought. If I knew how to do that I’d be a pro. I’m just trying to get to the ball. “Last time I give you any advice,” he said. It won’t be. 🙂

  2. Hope this is something I carry with me everyday. I have hope each and everyday to make it to another day. I also have hope and faith that people will treat each other with respect.
