Fandango Provocative Question # 118 – Feeling Tired?

Fandango is the host of Fandango Provocative Question

Welcome once again to Fandango’s Provocative Question.

What I do mean is a question that is likely to get you to think, to be creative, and to provoke a response. Hopefully a positive response.

I’ve been feeling tired and almost exhausted this week. It’s as if a lot of my energy has been drained out of me. I’m not sure why, but I do know I need to do something to get myself back on track. And that leads me to this week’s provocative question. Well, it may not be that provocative, but your answers might be helpful, not just to me, but to others who may be feeling a bit off center at the moment.

How do you recharge when you’refeeling depleted?

There are two types of tired! Physically and mentally.

When physically drained, the best cure is a good night’s sleep, coupled with a relaxing activity like watching a movie or reading something which is not too depressing. Blogging helps as it takes off the mind from body tiredness.

As for mental tiredness, I prefer meditation. Alone time, maybe a nature walk and thinking about life and my purpose, recharges me mentally. Life often throws a curveball and I get caught off guard. Thinking and working out the cause of this drain of my energy, the stuff that is insidiously bothering me, I usually find the cause and work out a solution.

And when all else fails, eating dark chocolate always works. At least temporarily. In the end we have to figure out the problem and find the best solution for it!

  1. I agree with you about the two types of tired. It’s awful when I have both😱
I like your solutions too. Nature is always good for lifting my spirits.🌺🦋🌈🌊🌻
I find that I have a delayed reaction kind of tired that hits me. When there’s stress, I’m good at dealing with whatever, then when things calm down, the wave crashes into me. All I can do is try to rest, and eat chocolate 🍫 😘

    1. Physical tired is easy and mental or both together is very hard. The stress takes a heavy toll. Chocolate works for me too. I forgot games on phone, like solitaire. They help too.

  2. Hats off to you for writing about this
.The picture you showed is truly me.
My main problem is physical exhaustion. I am trying so hard to work on this. I am sick so some days are better than others. I am trying to work on this through my diet.
In terms of mental exhaustion, I find that easier to work with. If I am exhausted I will pack up whatever I am doing and go for a walk or sit outside. Turning on the t.v. and just escaping also helps.

    1. Thanks Lisa. We all are effected differently by tiredness. So our solutions are different too. But just being by oneself always helps.

  3. I rarely get physically tired mainly because I’m a bit of a layabout, but mentally tired’s another matter.! I go for a wander along the beach or in the woods both of which are a short stroll away. Or I go to the pub now they’re open again!

  4. Still having strain if bro chits going on 3 weeks, I am both physically and mentally tired all the time. But even before this I just am tired of the way the world is now, with exhausting news reports I can only be a helpless observer and that’s not me.
