Stream Of Consciousnesses Saturday- On my left

Linda is the host of Stream Of Consciousnesses Saturday

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “to your left.” When you sit down to write your post, look to your left. What is the thing closest to you? Write about the memories that thing induces. Enjoy!

On my left, literally on my left hand is my Apple Watch!

Last year in June, my daughter gifted me this watch. Before this I had a Fitbit. I treasure this gift for two reasons;

One obviously, because it’s a thoughtful gift from my daughter, and secondly, I love the various features this watch has.

Time telling is the obvious one, and it literally tells time if you place a finger or thumb towards the top of the screen. It also counts steps, measures heartbeat, assesses my sleep quality and tells me how many calories I’ve burned that day.

It also reminds me to take a minute of calm and do deep breathing. All my messages are displayed on its screen and I can even reply to them. I can talk into my Apple Watch and return calls on it if my phone is far from me.

To me it feels like a gadget from Star Trek or some futuristic movie.

I need not tell you that l love my Apple Watch.

  1. Admitting this has got my memory working.. Immediately to my left is the T.V. remote. The memories this brought on is the wonderful time my husband and I have had together over the last years curled up on the couch watching stuff.
