Thursday Inspiration- Why?

Jim is the host of Thursday Inspiration

Respond to this challenge, by either by using the prompt word why, or going with the above picture, or by means of the song ‘Runaway’, or by going with any other Del Shannon song, or another song from the early 1960 era.

Why do we get our best ideas when we are about to drop off to sleep!

And forget about them when we wake up?

Why when we start for an appointment on time, we are late by half an hour

And if we leave five minutes early, we have bushels of time to spare?

Why the day we wash the car, it is going to rain so hard and cover it in mud

And if we don’t wash it hoping it will rain to wash away the dirt, it doesn’t?

Why when we want to cook something special for someone special

It will be quite a failure in the departments of taste and looks

And a meal cooked in fifteen minutes, comes out looking like cordon bleu?

A special day, a special occasion and doing the best we can to look dazzling

Turns out that the dress, chosen with care is unflattering

And after hours spend on the hair, it’s fallen flat!

Why the best laid plan of mice and men often go awry?

I am sure you must have experienced such incidents and have asked, Why?

Hope you will share some of your experiences in comments.

(I am sharing this post from 2 years ago which fits this prompt very nicely and for Fandango Friday Flashback )

  1. Why?

What a great question? I could spend hours answering this simple question. I am now trying to go with the concept of just accept that there is not always an answer to why.

  2. I always keep a note pad by my bed for those great ideas that pop in my head. It may wake me up a little more to perk up and write it down, but I can always sleep in later. 😴
