QUESTIONS;
Would you rather be a super nice person and be depressed all your life, or be happy and a total *sshole? (Credit goes to Cyrannyfor this question, aired on one of her “Cyranny’s Quickies” posts.)
Why can’t I be a super nice person AND be happy too. In my opinion and observations, a caring person is often happy as it brings a feeling of elation when we are good.
Have you ever made someone cry?
Yes, many times when I scolded my kids. Never scolded my grandkids but they often cried when I wouldn’t give in to their demands. As for making an adult cry, not intentionally but sometimes it happens when one is sharing a personal experience.
Are you a dreamer or a go-getter?
I think I am more of a go getter than a dreamer. Though my dreams of losing lot of weight never came to fruition, so in that respect, I am just a dreamer.
If you were in a band, what instrument would you play?
I wanted to play drums at one point in my young life. I thought it’s a breeze and you just have to bang hard on them. Well….. it turned out to be way harder than that. But if I ever learned to play them I would love to be a drummer.
GRATITUDE SECTIONDo you feel gratitude is necessary?
Gratitude is essential in my view. Otherwise, we would never acknowledge our blessings and would remain unaware of how lucky we actually are.

Thanks for Sharing Your World Sadje! That photo of the lily is gorgeous!! I think you will be successful at your weight loss because you never stop trying. Discouragement and giving up cause defeat in things like that in my opinion. I think it’s very true that there are few unsavory people who are happy; although a lot of really nice people do have depression, so do unsavory folks. Pigeonholes are for pigeons. 😉 Have a fantastic week!

Thanks Melanie! So right that pigeon holes are for pigeons! Thanks for giving us these thought provoking questions every week.

I think the first question is kind of weird. Why would one want to be either of those people? As for gratitude, it may not be necessary, but life is fuller and happier if there is an acknowledgment of gratitude for blessings.

I agree with you Patricia on both points. But I guess it is asking us what’s more important to us, our happiness or that of others! Gratitude enriches the life, no doubt there.

Oh, your amaryllis is beautiful! 😍
I found out how difficult drumming really is too. I’d choose bongo drums or a tambourine 😉😂

Thanks a lot Angie! Yup, much more to it than just banging. We have a local drum, called dholak, that’s easier to use. Mostly girls use it when singing songs for the bride before the night of wedding

Are they naughty songs, full of innuendo? Or is that a secret?😉

No they are traditional Punjabi songs! Most of them are maligning the in-laws! 🤣🤣

I asked the same quetion about the first question.

Yes, that’s very logical question. I think it is about if we care more for the happiness of others than ours.

Oh if I could learn an instrument and then be in a band I would pick the keyboards/piano. Always wanted to learn to play. I LOVE that flower picture, beautiful!

Thank you Leigha. Learning to play a keyboard or a piano seems a cool idea. Maybe you can even now
