For my Letter D, I have chosen Discovery;
Discovery, be it self-discovery or finding out the secrets of the universe, expands our minds. If we live our lives without curiosity about the world around us or our own selves, we are only half alive. To live fully, we need to be inquisitive.
Be curious about our planet, our universe and take an active role as a citizen of the world. Be knowledgeable and try to educate those around you.
Who in the world am I? Ah, that’s the great puzzle.
Knowing oneself is also important. Look at your reflection in the mirror and try to see into the soul of the person you are. We really never know ourselves completely until we are tested.
Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom.
Let’s start on this voyage of discovery.
BTW, I love the discovery channel too!

I still seem to discover things about myself even at my age! Interesting!

As long as we are alive, we keep on learning new things, even about ourselves.

I wasn’t the best student in grade school – mediocre at best. I got better my senior year due to some great teachers. College was tough and I didn’t do all that well until I started working and saw the practical applications.
Now, if I don’t learn something new on any given day, it’s a bad day.

I was okay, not studious but I had very good memory so I could get by with very little studying. But I loved to learn about things. I think if we stop learning, we stagnate.

I agree with your ideas on always discovering new things. It is what makes us not become stagnant.

Wise words Sadje, without discovering new things, life would become very dull indeed!

Thanks Angie. We have them somewhere in our brains. And they pop up at odd times too.

There is always something to discover. I walk in my neighborhood most days, and there is always something new to discover. Nature is ever-changing, new every day.
