Stream Of Consciousnesses Saturday- 13 March, 2021

Linda is the host of Stream Of Consciousnesses Saturday

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “day/week/month/year.” Use one, use them all, use them any way you’d like. Enjoy!

♾♾♾

Linda has asked us to write either about the experiences of living with covid restrictions one full year or just use the prompts as we like.

I’ll take both options.

A year ago we were warned about a pandemic hitting our planet

We thought it would be a few weeks till we were given all-clear

Now a year on, it doesn’t seem to be going away anytime soon

Days, weeks, or months we are waiting in anticipation

But life went on, children being born, the elderly departing

Many left us too early, succumbing to this deadly disease

But life still went on, people graduated, children enrolled

New and old all vying for our attention amid all the tension

Now most of us have readjusted our perspective about life

We are being mindful of little blessings and aware of the positives

Life is still going on, perhaps not as usual, but in ways unimagined

  1. Any challenge that teaches us is useful. Some lessons are harder than others. I laugh at how I used to get so upset about school breaks, 3 weeks is nothing now. Not after six months straight!🤪😂
The rest of my life stayed pretty much the same… I was a hermit before, and I’m still a hermit 😉😂💕🌻🦋

    1. Yes, we all learned a few lessons from this pandemic. You love your solitude, I hope you can get some quality me time soon. Over here we are going into another lockdown from today as the virus is spreading at a rapid rate.

        1. It’s a bother but better safe than sorry. I even got myself tested for covid because I met a friend at an outdoor fundraiser and she has covid. Luckily mine is negative. Stay safe.
