The path forward is lost to the eye

I presume that it will lead me to a place of beauty

Green and refreshing vista, as far as I can see

The beginnings promise a beautiful ending

But I have to take it on a presumption because it is hidden from me

Similarly, many things in life have to be taken on trust

For when we can see the start of the journey, its termination is not visible

Yet we do venture forward with a belief in our abilities

And often achieve success in ventures requiring a leap of faith
