Sunday Poser #14

Welcome to a new Sunday Poser

My question this week is directed to those of my blogger friends who write in response to prompts, as well as doing their own posts.

Are you more inspired by word prompts, images, or phrases?

Personally, for me, it could be an image or a phrase that would click with my thinking and would help me in writing something that I would be proud of.

Images are versatile in the sense that they can project different sensations and ideas into the viewer’s mind. Words though can have different meanings but they have limitations as to where you can go with them. I used to combine a few of the daily prompts and make a post out of them. I stopped doing it due to scarcity of time and the fact I was posting too many posts a day. But I do miss that challenge.

So what about you?

What inspires you more, a word or an image?

Please share your thoughts in the comments section.

Waiting keenly for your responses.

Thanks for reading and visiting.

  1. I like to let my imagine take me where it will and images are most inspirational to me, though a well-turned phrase often captures my imagination as well. As of late my creativity has taken a plunge and I haven’t been posting much, or very often. Images often will take me out of my funk. I am finding the pandemic is taking a bite though.

  2. I feel like I can be inspired by anything that “clicks” inside of me. But like you, images tend to do it more easily. Somehow, the visual sparks more connection because the feeling is stronger. Great question, Sadje.

    1. Thanks Susi for sharing your thoughts. Yes, the visual connection is stronger. Sometimes when I used to write a multi-Prompt post, I would choose a picture and then work with it.

    1. I like them both too but they need to click to stimulate my imagination. I hope you’ll have some free time when the school resumes, full time. 🥰❤️ Thanks for sharing your thoughts
