Welcome to a new Sunday Poser
My question this week is directed to those of my blogger friends who write in response to prompts, as well as doing their own posts.
Are you more inspired by word prompts, images, or phrases?
Personally, for me, it could be an image or a phrase that would click with my thinking and would help me in writing something that I would be proud of.
Images are versatile in the sense that they can project different sensations and ideas into the viewer’s mind. Words though can have different meanings but they have limitations as to where you can go with them. I used to combine a few of the daily prompts and make a post out of them. I stopped doing it due to scarcity of time and the fact I was posting too many posts a day. But I do miss that challenge.
So what about you?
What inspires you more, a word or an image?
Please share your thoughts in the comments section.
Waiting keenly for your responses.
Thanks for reading and visiting.

I too am inspired by both words and photo prompts and for me the photo prompts are more powerfully inspiring than the word prompts! Thanks for sharing this Sadje! 🙂 ❤

Thank you Deborah for sharing your thoughts. Photo Prompts are sometimes more specific than words. You do V write on both types very well.

I used to do lots more challenge prompts, but it got to be too many even though I like them. I’d say the word prompts are easier for me to do. 🙂

Thanks for sharing your thoughts Barbara! Yes a word can be easier. Unless it’s one of those words you haven’t ever heard of! Lol.

I typically do photo prompts (like Friday Fictioneers) though I like the combination (like Sue Vincent’s writephoto challenge).

I love Sue’s Prompts. She gives us a direction in her posts.

I like to let my imagine take me where it will and images are most inspirational to me, though a well-turned phrase often captures my imagination as well. As of late my creativity has taken a plunge and I haven’t been posting much, or very often. Images often will take me out of my funk. I am finding the pandemic is taking a bite though.

This pandemic had affected the creativity of many people. But when I see your posts on some of the photo prompts, they are very good. Thanks for sharing your thoughts Carol.

Thanks Di. Much better today. I guess rest and walking both helps.

Take things slowly and get plenty of rest.

Thanks my friend. I’m advised to walk as much as I can because it’ll speed up the healing process.

I’ve never been able to do them. That’s why it amazes me how well you write yours.

Thanks Gary. But I do remember you doing a few stories back in the days!

But we struggled doing them. Feet like too much pressure for me

I know the feeling. But Teresa made us all do it. And the finished story was such fun.

I feel like I can be inspired by anything that “clicks” inside of me. But like you, images tend to do it more easily. Somehow, the visual sparks more connection because the feeling is stronger. Great question, Sadje.

Thanks Susi for sharing your thoughts. Yes, the visual connection is stronger. Sometimes when I used to write a multi-Prompt post, I would choose a picture and then work with it.

That one is easy for me. Images for sure. I am super visual, so images usually speak to me the loudest.😊😊😊 Have a lovely week, Sadje. 🙏

I very rarely do prompts, it’s something that I’d like to attempt when I have more free time. I don’t really know which would be more stimulating. I like both images and words. 🤷🏼♀️

I like them both too but they need to click to stimulate my imagination. I hope you’ll have some free time when the school resumes, full time. 🥰❤️ Thanks for sharing your thoughts

I can usually get something out of any words but with an image, only if it tells me something special first.

I have written for a daily word prompt for about four years now and probably 98% of the time I get an idea fairly quick, but with a picture it has to “speak” to me. Good poser!

With a word, it can be taken any which way but yes a photo has to speak to you! Thanks 🙏

I love prompts. I enjoy coming up with something that I can write about in response to a prompt. xo
