Sitting and writing at his desk, he often felt like he was the only person in the world.

All alone with his ideas, his characters and stories.

Perhaps it was the isolation that was the secret to his success, as he never let anything or anyone interfere with his writing.

  2. I believe he’s right. Getting that alone time with no distractions keeps the writing going. With ADHD I tend to need distraction if only to incorporate into the story. But when that gets out of hand I chain myself to the solitude and pound out the tough spots.
    By the way, I agree with the commentator above. I admire your short story abilities. I’m a serial writer. Long relationships have developed between me and my imaginary friends.
