PROMPT #166
I’m employing a reverse strategy for the last prompt this year.
Here are two short pieces for the prompt.
inkblots mutate to form pictures, alphabets, stories I did not create
decorated trees sway to songs emanating from masked lips imagining smiles that reach twinkling toes and luminous tips
You can choose either one or both. You don’t have to write anything, unless you are so inspired that you cannot resist sharing a piece.
You are required to find a picture from your Media library, sites for free pictures, or your phone camera and post it on your blog. Copyright if any will remain with you.
You have plenty of time to do it, so you are welcome to post more than once.
WHAT DOES NOT CHANGE
Create a post on your blog with the chosen picture, and copy-paste the link in Comments. In case you are using a pingback, do check back to see if it has worked.

The colors swirl in the eyes of my mind
Psychedelic patterns waving in and out of my vision
I can imagine what I will create with my hands
A tray full of paints, a pack of brushes dipped in turpentine
What I do manage, looks nothing like what I imagined
The distortion between imagining and execution is great
As I look at the results, I come to peace with them
It may not be a masterpiece, but it was the call of my heart

Thanks Angie. I used to love painting as a young adult. Never tried it lately

Mmm. Yes, exactly. Sometimes when I write poetry, the lines just appear, not what I’d expected, yet are from the heart, and are wonderful. Lovely, Sadje. 🙂

Stunning! Dip your toes in paint and dance barefoot. See what kind of art it generates.
