- What news event do you vividly remember hearing about as a child, and where were you?
I think it would be the first man on the moon. We were kids and super excited to see it on our very first, brand new television set. Remember those which looked like a piece of furniture with its own legs!
- What is a Christmas song that makes you cringe?
Since Christmas is not a part of my culture or religion, I don’t listen to Christmas songs. But when I lived in America, their constant repetition sort of used to drive me nuts.
- What is one place you shop(ped prior to Covid) that might have surprised people?
I don’t think it will surprise anyone but my favorite store was Sephora in the states. Over here it was a huge chain store which has everything from grocery to clothes and jewelry. I go there even now but to get my grocery only.
- What is your least favorite holiday side dish?
I love all the traditional holiday dishes associated with the festivals in my country and culture except for the mutton and beef dishes. I am “almost” a vegetarian now!
GRATITUDE SECTION (Always optional)
Share something heart warming that’s happened to you lately.
I recently had my birthday and my family arranged a party for me with my kids and grandkids. My aunts also remembered the day and called with birthday wishes. It was such a happy day. I am also grateful to my blogging family for their lovely wishes on my birthday.
Thank you Melanie for your lovely questions.
