Welcome to “Fandango’s Flash Fiction Challenge.”
The image below is from Victor Moriyama at the New York Times. For the visually challenged writer, the photo shows people seen in individual units through the large windows of a multi-unit apartment building.

A slice of urban life shows you so much diversity
Here you can see how each individual spends their evening
Some are still busy at work, while others at household chores
A lonely being staring through the window and dreaming
Some living spaces empty still, waiting for their inhabitants
Each person living this life faces similar challenges
Yet they deal with them in their own special way
Their goals and objectives in life could be different
But they work hard to get where they want to be in life
Is this a race with no winners?
Or just an effort to survive till not?

“Is this a race with no winners?” There are winners and losers, but in the end, winners and losers are all just memories, good, bad, or indifferent.

You’re right, they are the memories at the end. Thanks 🙏

Isn’t it interesting to see how individuals have different ways of using the same environment?
And as your words suggest, we wonder what motivates them to do things the way they do.
Lovely, Sadje!🤗🥰
