Thursday Photo Prompt- Light # WritePhoto

I am sharing this post from 2019.

Sue is not posting any new challenges due to health concerns these days. So I am SharingJen of my older posts.

Sue Vincent is the host of Thursday Photo Prompt.

Welcome to this week’s writephoto prompt.

For visually challenged writers, the image shows a woodland scene with a dusting of snow and the sun, rising as a rayed orb through the boughs of a tree.

Judy woke up as the rays of the sun struck her closed eyes. She must have nodded off while sitting in the car. Urgently she fumbled around for her camera and opened the car to get out of it. The sun was almost up. She had planned to take pictures of the sunrise and now she was late.

Cursing herself, she looked for the best angle to capture the sunrise. There was a tree standing in the way, and she couldn’t get a clear shot. She moved around, the shutter clicking all the time, taking a great many pictures. I hope I get one good shot out of this day’s work, she thought to herself.

It was her first shot at earning money from her hobby of photography. The camera and the rest of the equipment were costly and after building up her portfolio she was hoping to be able to be in a position to give up her temp job and take up photography as a full-time profession.

After going home she transferred the images to her laptop and edited them. They were good. None of them were of the sunrise but one particular image looked promising. It has captured the sun as it was rising through the branches of the tree. It almost looked like a photoshopped picture, the orb giving out rays of sunlight in a spectacular manner.

Maybe this will make me famous, she thought as she emailed the pictures to her contact.
