Growing up
It is time to step out of the nest
That first hesitant step in the world
To stand on my own feet without the support
Of those nurturing and protecting hands
I may not be ready but I still have to try
I may not be big enough to fend for myself
But I will try, as it is my instinct to be independent
Hello world, I hope you will welcome me kindly!

I remember when I taught nursery school and some ‘new’ parents were so paranoid about any dirt getting on their child. I just could not imagine send my own children to school in some of the expensive outfits I saw. You can’t play freely if you aren’t allowed to get dirty or make a mistake.
Fun take.

Thanks Jules. Some people forget that new experiences are must if a child is going to learn.
