Melanie is the host of SYW

Questions:

Which meal is your favorite: breakfast, lunch, or dinner?

Breakfast is my favorite meal because I eat it early in the morning, all by myself. I usually don’t do much effort for it and my first cup of coffee is the highlight of my breakfast. I enjoy my breakfast in solitude, reading my blog in peace.

Other than that, dinner with family on weekends is the second favorite meal. We usually order in something according to everyone‘s taste.

Who do you admire most in the world?

I admire a lot of people who have passed away, like my father, my father in law, and my paternal grandfather. Among the living, I admire my children for the sort of humans they have made themselves into. Kind, generous, and open-hearted. I admire my husband for the man he is. Kind, generous, and funny.

With the obvious restrictions in place, what do you regret not doing in the last year?

I don’t regret anything!

If there were things that I wasn’t able to do last year, there were a lot of things that I did instead. I was stuck in Seattle at the time when the pandemic was just starting. I wasn’t able to go out much but I utilized that time to walk and lose weight.

  1. It’s so nice to get to know you a little bit better. I think my favourite meal is supper (dinner) because it is more relaxed. I love breakfast, but often it is a rushed affair because we have places to be in the early hours.

  3. My favourite meal is lunch, which I tend to eat early as I’m not a breakfast food kind of person. Not scrambled, not fried, not hard boiled but put them in cakes and cookies and I am good to go). I even go so far as to order eggs Benedict without the eggs, I just have a piece of cheese on there instead. I am grateful for so many things: my husband of 36 years, my kids, my grandkids, my home, and even my challenges as they are what has made me into the woman I am today. Most of the time that woman is kind, compassionate and fun but other times she is hard headed, snappy and a grumpy wet blanket but those are the days that I just have to work a little harder to be who I am meant to be. It’s all a journey and I am thankful and grateful to be on it! Thanks for your post πŸ’œ

  4. Thank you so much Sadje for Sharing Your World! Your spin on the ‘regrets’ question was amazing! You turned what a lot of people regard as a loss into a win and positive win at that! You really are the nicest person I’ve met in a long time. I’m sure your family admires you greatly for it too! Have a great week!

    1. Thank you so much Melanie you’re so kind! I tend to try to turn negatives into positives. Sometimes my kids are irritated by it. πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜‚
