Cranny is hosting this challenge.
She explains;
What’s the ”One Minute Fiction” challenge about?
Easy. Each week I’ll provide a prompt to inspire you to write a very short story. The idea is to manage to type your whole story in a minute or less. Of course, you can think about it before hitting the keyboard, and you can take all your time to edit it afterwards…
Just make sure to tag your story with #1MinFiction, and create a pingback to my week’s challenge post, so I can easily find it!
So, here is this week’s picture;
~*~*~*~
Mark looked at the city line brightly lit against the evening sky and felt sorrow. He was leaving his hometown to start a new life, but there was hope in his heart and he hoped to return here one day, achieving his goals. He wanted to show his family and friends that he can make it on his own in the world, after foregoing his family fortune.

Her greatest fear was being realized
The ferris wheel stopped
And she was on the top
It hadn’t moved in minutes
She wasn’t sure why
For she was too high to see
Why didn’t she tell her date she was afraid of heights
She could tell him now
But he’ll find out soon enough
As she sweats, shakes
Bile is crawling up the back of her throat
Nothing can ruin a first date faster
Than vomiting on their lap
