Wordsmiths are urging us to use recondite words
What’s that you ask; it means obscure words
If you don’t know the meaning of a word, it’s difficult
To find appropriate usage for these words
Writers show great resolve and hardihood
When they give in to the urges of fulfilling these expectations
Sometimes it feels like you’re getting a jab of a needle
The scuttlebutt has it that this is prompted by
A desire to test our knowledge and educate us further
In response to the following prompts;
YDWP;
3TC;
FOWC;
RDP;
Word of the day challenge;

#DailyPrompts
I hardly knew Fandango’s word, let alone some of these others. But I got a lot of them from your response.

I had to look up two 🙂 It is fun to learn new words. But also sometimes difficult to use them correctly.
When some challenge words come from the Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows… well that’s a whole new ballgame!

I agree Jules. But it’s all fun and if I don’t use the new words correctly, there won’t be any consequences.

I know Fandango has tripped me up with some obscure words from time to time. But that is the run of reading and writing… learning new things.
