In the fading light of dusk
It is hard to discern shapes
I go down the narrow lane
Which twists and turns like
A labyrinth, confusing me
I hit something with a loud thump
And cry out loud because it hurts
Down the line I can foresee a visit
To emergency room for treatment
For now ,I hop on one foot and elevate
It’s injured fellow to avoid more injury
On dark narrow lanes of life
Adversity and adventure both awaits
Be ready to grab one and face the other
