Share Your World- 12 October’20

Melanie is the host of SYW

Are we “here” or do we just think we are?  (A metaphysical question today folks.) Can you prove your point of view?

I definitely am here!

I feel the world around me, I get hurt when I step on a Lego piece, I feel the joy when I am with my family and I enjoy the food when I eat/ devour it. What more proof you can want!

From an identity stand-point, which would be the worst for you personally to lose?  Your face, your body or your voice?    Which do YOU identify with most strongly for your own sense of self?

I think what is the most strongly identifiable trait of me is neither of these. I am me because of how I think. Losing my mind, my way of thinking would definitely result in losing my identity. I hope it never happens.

Do you have a ‘song’?  If you’re part of a couple, you could use “your couple’s song” OR a song that’s just always resonated with you.

I have several songs that resonate with me according to my mood and when or where I am. They are too many to enumerate so I will only say that most songs I like have a meaning behind their lyrics.

“Spooky” Halloween Question:  Oooo!  BOO!  Weeghostie

Are ghosts real or has someone been smoking something and just imagines them?

I don’t think that ghosts exist in the sense most people seem to think. Other beings besides us inhabit this world which we can feel but not see clearly. But why would the spirits of dead people hang around when they have departed. It would really be a tough situation to be in.

Please free free to share a moment of gratitude you experienced over the past week.

I am grateful to be among my family again. I am more grateful that we all are healthy and in good spirits. Nothing in life can be taken for granted so we should savor each day.

  1. Thanks Sadje for Sharing Your Beautiful World! I appreciate your upbeat spirit, which shows through each answer too! I agree with you on the mind being my most identified with ‘part’…I wouldn’t be “me” if I were to lose that. And stepping on a Lego has to be one of the most awful pains one can get. I stepped on a pointy piece of ice cube the other day and thought I’d stabbed myself…it hurt for over an hour, but there was no wound. Those foot nerves are really TENDER aren’t they? Have a great week and thanks again for SYW!
