If another national lockdown was to occur for you – would you be better prepared for it today as in, have you been in a position to stockpile much-needed stocks or would you be no different to the last time?
I like to think I would be. Living is all about learning and I have learned quite a few things from my experience of the lockdown. We do need to keep the essentials in some quantity at home. Thankfully, while in the US, some things were in very short supply, back home in Pakistan, there wasn’t a panic situation. Most things were available in good quantity and even toilet paper and hand sanitizer were abundant.
What do you think makes for a really scary fiction story that would prevent you from turning off the lights before you went to sleep??
I think it would have to be a really well-written story about someone breaking into your home that would scare me to that extent.
Which do you prefer to wear and why out of the following options?
[You can pick more than one – but always explain why]
Cotton, Denim, Cashmere, Chiffon, Lace, Leather, Linen, Wool, Organic Fabrics, Silk, Muslin, Polyester, Satin, Suede, Twill, Velvet, Moleskin, Mohair, Viscose.
I like wearing cotton and linen best of all. They are comfortable against my skin and do not turn stinky in summer. I can wear synthetic fabric but it’s not my first choice.
When getting dressed and you are putting on a dress, trousers, shorts or skirts and so on, which foot do you lead with, left or right … and why that way?
Always the right. I think it’s an inbuilt instinct. Or maybe we all were taught that as babies.
What is your blog’s prime genre and what are the secondary genres?
My blog is very versatile. So it is not one genre but all about everything! The secondary genre would be all about everything else!
Has blogging and as such belonging to a community of fellow bloggers and writers alike changed you as a person or inspired you in any way – explain?
Blogging has really been the best thing I’ve done to make my middle age better. I have acquired a lot of friends which are more like a family now. I am constantly learning new things about a variety of topics from the blogs that I follow. I have been at the receiving end of a lot of kindness and empathy from my friends here. Thank you all my blogging family for being the best!
Name 3 television programmes that you watched and enjoyed as a child and then explain what made them good for you back then?
I remember watching The little house on the prairie with my family. It was such a wonderful story.
Popeye the sailor man was great motivation to eat spinach
An assortment of cartoons made us laugh every day and look forward to our television time.
How do you celebrate you when you have time to pamper yourself?
Getting my haircut and dyed manicure, and pedicure for my mistreated appendages and rarely a facial.
Do you listen to any Podcasts or Vlog Diaries on a regular basis, if so what are they, and why are they so good?
No, I don’t. It takes a lot of time that I can spend talking and listening to my friends or my family.
Have you ever walked in on a couple having sex and did you 1] Scream in horror make appologies and run out, 2] Make your way out but acting cool about it all or 3] Laugh out loud and say “Alrighty then, game on!!”and join in?
Thankfully, I never was in such a situation.
What do you think lives in the 80% of the ocean that is unexplored and unmapped?
Creatures and plant life that would truly surprise us when we finally get to explore them.
Question inspired by Sadje of Keep it Alive
Do you read Book Reviews before purchasing a book new to you or do you simply buy a book based upon what you have read on the sale description or back page and if you do how influenced are you by those reviews?
I read the reviews before I buy a book of an un-read author. If it’s an ebook, I download a preview before I pay for the book. I am not very adventurous when it comes to exploring new authors so I like to have an idea of what I am getting into. I do however value recommendations and would buy a book if it comes highly recommended from a friend or a blogger friend.

I never read book reviews, well sometimes I’ll skim them, but I guy books eiter based on recommendations of friends and bloggers, or else I love the author and so am going to buy everything they put out. Great answers my friend 🌹🙌

For a mew author that I haven’t read before, I like to know about their style of writing before I buy them. For the rest, I also do what you do. Thanks

I loved Little House On The Prairie. I read all the books when I was a child too.
Michael Landon seemed like such a great guy!
I’ll give any book a try, with few exceptions. I’ve found awesome books just grabbing stuff from the “Free Books” bin at the library. Well, before the Kootie anyway.

I may do that if the title is appealing and it’s free. But paying $12-20, I do like to know more before I buy. Yes I was so sad when Michael Landon passed away. I really liked him.

Interesting questions. I like your answers. Yes, I start with the right foot/leg too when putting something on. Can’t remember why, but it just feels the right thing to do. haha!
Little House TV show was always good, and cartoons were only on in the afternoons or on Saturday, but I liked a lot of them.
As for books, I sometimes read a review, but mostly find the best ones just by browsing the bookstore shelves, and reading the blurb about it. 🙂

Thanks Barbara. I guess we do certain things by instinct only. Buying books is expensive so I do try to find out a bit more before spending the money.

There is still things that are almost impossible to find here… disinfecting wipes, hand sanitizer, and even some hand soap. As for books I tend to stick with authors I know, occasionally I will go off track and get a new book just from the info on the back of the book. You had some really good answers Sadje!

Over here we cannot get stuff that was being imported from China and USA, I guess COVID-19 restrictions. Thanks for reading
