Daniel looked at the house he was supposed to live in. It was in bad repair and waterlogged besides. He could smell the stench from the sluggishly flowing water in the river. The locals had told him that a lot of water in the river was from industrial waste. His heart sank further as he lugged his luggage inside the door. He could hear rodents scurrying in the dank house. How he was going to explain this to his wife Eliza? She hated mice and loved a neat clean environment. How will she consent to live here? It was his posting in a third world country working for a non-profit organization, providing health care to poor people, that had brought him here.
The front door opened just then and Eliza stepped in. She had a smile on her face. Hugging Daniel she told him that though the house wasn’t what she was looking forward to, she would be alright living here.
“I am so proud of the work you are doing. This is my way of contributing towards your good cause”

I know! Most women would balk at living in these conditions.

Yes we do. And we do have lot of selfless people. They aren’t that vocal as the selfish ones. Thanks.
