Paula is the host of Thursday Inspiration
Welcome to Thursday Inspiration! This is my weekly prompt and hopefully it will inspire you to write something creative, perhaps a poem or a piece of flash fiction. I will try to visit everyone who links back to this post. π
This weekβs theme is lady and the image is below. Here is the song snippet from βFor My Lady,β a song written by Ray Thomas of the Moody Blues and recorded by them in 1972.
Oh Iβd give my life so lightly
For my gentle lady
Give it freely and completely
To my lady

~*~*~*~
I was told to be lady like when I was growing up
But I was more of a tomboy, interested in rough and ready play
I identified myself with my three brothers much to the despair of my father
It was only when I grew up and was wiser in the ways of the world
That I realized that a lady is not the one who dresses or behaves daintily
But the one with impeccable morals and kind and gentle heart

I was/am a “tomboy” too. I’m glad to see the definitions and lines of “gender roles” blurred or erased. A kind heart IS what makes makes all the difference.ππβ¨π«ππΌπ π
